PPUR makes it more fun in the PH!

More local and foreign tourists are expected to flock to Palawan and explore the Puerto Princesa Underground River (PPUR) after it made the official list of the New7Wonders of Nature.
The 8.2-kilometer river was officially declared as a winner by no less than Bernard Weber, New7Wonders founder-president. PPUR is the second to make it to the official list after Jeju Island. The other finalists Amazon, Halong Bay, Iguazu Falls, Komodo and Table Mountain are still undergoing verification.
According to a Philippine Daily Inquirer report, Weber was impressed that the country, led by President Benigno S Aquino III, rallied behind PPUR. Filipinos from all over the world voted for it by phone, text messages and internet social networks.
The river, which is connected to the West Philippine Sea, bested more than 400 other natural attractions across the world.
