Airport terminal fee back to P550
January 14, 2012 by Divina
Passengers on international flights will only be charged PhP550 for the terminal fee beginning February 1, according to a Philippine Daily Inquirer report.
The Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) is decreasing the fee by P200 (from P750).
According to MIAA, the P750 fee was imposed for a five-year period beginning on February 1, 2007 “to fund the acquisition of state-of-the-art security equipment at the airport terminals.”
Since the period ends on January 31, 2011, the fee will go back to P550. Meanwhile, passengers on domestic flights will continue to pay P200.
