Low interest rates in 2012 can stimulate more businesses
January 5, 2012 by Divina
Many Filipinos may consider going into business this year because interest rates are low, according to the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP), thus encouraging a higher demand for loans.
According to a Philippine Daily Inquirer report, BSP Governor Amando Tetangco Jr said they expect good things for the Philippine economy this year in spite of the negative impact of global financial uncertainties.
The domestic factors that can help the country’s economy include “low interest rates, benign inflation, improving fiscal situation and a stable financial sector.”
