The Japan Educational Seminar will be held on November 19, 2011 (Saturday) at the University of the Philippines (UP NISMED) from 1:00 pm-6:00 pm, according to a press release from the Embassy of Japan.
Organized by 13 of Japan’s leading universities including the University of Tokyo, this seminar is part of the Global 30 Project launched by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT), Government of Japan. Under the project, students can obtain a degree from one of the 13 prestigious universities, all of which offer courses taught in English for both undergraduate and graduate levels.
The main objective of the seminar is to encourage aspiring Filipino students to learn more about the Global 30 Project and to avail of the Japanese Government Scholarship Program.
During the seminar, Global 30 Project universities will offer presentations, lecture demonstrations and individual consultations. The Embassy of Japan will also provide information about Japanese Government Scholarships and other related matters.
The Japan Educational Seminar has been conducted in several countries, including Thailand and Singapore. Last May, the event was held in Indonesia, and over 4,000 people participated in the course of three days.
