The three terminals of the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) are now on alert for bird flu cases after a woman in Hong Kong (HK) was recently reported to have the disease.

A total of 35 Philippine Embassy officials in Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) member-countries attended this week a program to help them protect overseas Filipinos workers (OFWs), especially victims of human trafficking.
According to Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) news, the training held in Kuala Lumpur is aimed at capacity-building and better coordination among consular and labor personnel in protecting Filipinos abroad. Read more

Canada estimates it will accept up to 265,000 new permanent residents next year based on the government’s 2011 immigration plan.
