A total of 35 Philippine Embassy officials in Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) member-countries attended this week a program to help them protect overseas Filipinos workers (OFWs), especially victims of human trafficking.

Remittances coursed through banks rose by 10.6% in September, reaching US$1.6 billion, the highest during the year.

Canada to accept more migrants in 2011
