La Sagrada Familia Philippine giant shells to adorn world famous Barcelona churchThree pairs of giant Philippine shells, Tridacna gigas, will adorn the world-famous La Sagrada Familia Church in Barcelona, which will be blessed and proclaimed as a basilica by Pope Benedict XVI on November 7.

According to Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) news, the shells, which were donated by the Philippines to Spain, will be installed as holy water fonts in the main nave of the church. Read more
