NARS program starts accepting applicants today

Unemployed Filipino nurses may start sending their applications to the NARS program today, February 20, the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) announced yesterday.
Labor and Employment Secretary Marianito D Roque said they may file their application at the nearest DOLE regional office, or through the internet at http//www.nars.dole.gov.ph where application forms can be downloaded. Read more

Over 7,000 apply under JPEPA

The Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA) received over 2,000 applications from nurses and more than 5,000 from caregivers to train in Japan for jobs offered under the Japan-Philippines Economic Partnership Agreement (JPEPA), said POEA Administrator Jennifer Manalili in a report from Inquirer.net.
This is the first year that the JPEPA is being implemented, and only 200 nurses and 300 caregivers will be sent to Japan in April. Read more
